Flashmob of seniors breaks into disco moves in Melbourne’s Federation Square

This morning Melbourne commuters were stunned to see a flashmob of seniors break out into disco dance moves at Federation Square with Leo Sayer at the helm!

Crowds gathered to enjoy a performance from music legends Joe Camilleri, Richard Clapton, Russell Morris and Leo Sayer, to launch the Apia Good Times Tour which will see the four unite to play around the country in May. Leo stepped out to sing his classic You Make Me Feel Like Dancing when the over 50’s dancers launched into their surprise dance routine to stunned on-lookers.

National Insurance company, APIA have stepped in to support Seniors in the most positive way they can think of… by bringing a little bit of happiness to town. And we love the idea so much, we want to shout about it.

In a world where rockstars and movie stars have been dying young of overdoses for decades, and older rockers overcharging desperately on their gouge an oldie tours, it is beautiful to see the finest of rockers celebrating their age, health and the good times they can have.

And we must commend the sponsor of the tour APIA, for supporting what looks like it is going to be an awesome event. It is the second time they have stood behind a tour like this, with last year’s “Time of My Life Tour” selling out countrywide.

Tickets for the Apia Good Times tour are on sale Monday 3rd March at 9:00am and cost $70 (ex GST) plus a booking fee.
