The iPhone 6 is well on its way to Aussie shores as the company manufacturing the product, Foxconn, confirms it has begun preparations.

According to technology website, Tech2, the electrical manufacturing company based in China has confirm it has hired an additional 100,000 staff members to help with the production of the iPhone 6 the world has been waiting for.

The website reports that the 4.7 inch version is expected to begin manufacturing next week with the larger 5.5 inch product starting later.

According to The Economic Daily, Foxconn would only be producing the smaller sized iPhone this year with the larger 5.5 inch sized device, coined as the ‘Phablet” in 2015. The report believed that Apple and Foxconn had come into issues with the product design plans for the larger device.

MacRumours believes that both iPhones will have a sapphire glass screen that makes it virtually indestructible… The iPhones seem incredibly exciting and like fantastic devices so we can’t wait until we find out more!
