What pisses me off? Road rage

A scary thing happened recently, when we were driving home from the movies. It’s about a 20 klm drive, and we had just veered off the freeway and merged into double lanes when this black car full of young blokes sped past us and two other cars. It then slowed right down and so we all passed it again then just as the lanes merged again to single lanes this car sped up and tried to push in ahead of us just missing the side of our car. We finally let him in, and then the passenger (shirtless) climbed out his window and started throwing rubbish at us in frisbee fashion. They then pulled over to the side and gesticulated threateningly at us as we passed. Obviously wanting us to stop for an “altercation” and a “let’s beat up the oldies scenario.” We drove on by and they pulled out and stayed on our tail till we reached town.

We had to stop before the bridge coming into town due to a traffic snarl. They were still right behind us. Quick as a flash, two of these young blokes jumped out of the car and one converged on my side and the other on Peter’s side. I wound my window up quick smart and made sure my door was locked. The driver just sat behind the wheel grinning and gesticulating rudely. Next thing the other guy reached in Peters open window and grabbed the car keys out of the ignition, swearing and cussing and tossed them as far as he could into the park across the road, just missing the river.

By now a few people on the sidewalk came running over to help and these cowards jumped into their car and sped off. These two nice fellows helped us find our keys and we continued on home. We were extremely shook up and rattled over this stupid dangerous prank. If I had been on my own I would have sh…myself, it was so scary. What has happened to our world and why are people so full of rage.

Imagine if it had of been a frail elderly person or young girl on their own in a car. It rattled us so much Peter wrote a report of what happened and recorded it with our local constabulary along with the rego number. At least they are on the radar now.

Wouldn’t you bet there is never a cop around when these stupid things happen?
